Zoya Fire & Ice (Flame) Collection

Hi! I know I haven't post in awhile. I was sick for the past week and I'm finally feeling better. Still coughing and voice is still rasping but other than that I'm good. So forgive me :)

So anyways, today I have Zoya's new Fire & Ice Collection, which recently the collection's name was changed to Flame collection. This collection consists of 6 gorgeous colors with a foil like finish.

All pictures were taken under artificial light.

Tiffany a soft peachy copper shimmer

Gloria is a rosey pink shimmer

Crystal is a turquoise blue with gold flecks

Lisa is a red shimmer with reddish flecks

Sarah a magenta shimmer with red and pink flecks

Valerie is a plum purple with light purple flecks

Overall this collection is stunning. I loved all six shades, but my favorite has to be Crystal. I love how the orangey/gold/copper flecks work with the turquoise. Very unique color. Formula was the typical Zoya formaul, smooth and perfect in every way. All were under two coats.

And that's all I have for today!

Zoya Wicked and Wonderful Collection

Happy Columbus Day! I'm glad to have today off so that I can catch up on some of my school work. I already finished some but I'm currently taking a break. And I'm taking a break by writing an entry for my blog haha

Anyways, before I begin. I want to ask you guys to do me a favor. It will only take a few seconds of your time. There's a poll put on the left sidebar. I would really appreciate it if you guys participate in the poll. It would help me a lot. Because if you guys like my pictures under artificial light, it will speed up my postings; since I don't have to wait for sunlight to do swatches. But I don't want to do that in case my readers do not like pictures of swatches under artificial light. Therefore this poll is very important to me. I want to satisfy my readers. Thanks :)

Now today I have for you guys Zoya's Wicked and Wonderful collection for the Fall 2010. I'm glad to finally get to swatched these because these are gorgeous. All 12 of them! Especially the Wicked collection. Again, while everyone is posting their Fire & Ice Collection I'm behind and posting the Wicked and Wonderful collection. I do have the Fire & Ice collection and hopefully I will be swatching those real soon. I finally caught sunlight therefore all pictures are taken under direct sunlight.

Zoya Wicked Collection consists of 6 gorgeous sparkles

Kym - a bronzy red sparkle

Carrie Ann - wow this is a very bright red sparkle. Very sparkly! I love it

Karina - a dark red sparkle. Slightly darker than Carrie Ann.

Cheryl - brown sparkle. This one has a little green in it, can barely tell, but you'll know when you remove the polish.

Julieann - a dark purple shimmer. Picture shows more blue than purple, but we all know how hard it is to capture purples -_-

Edyta - smokey green gray sparkle. Love this one! Such a gorgeous color.

Zoya Wonderful Collection consists of 6 gorgeous cremes

Shawn - an army green creme. I said army because this reminds me of the greens in camouflages.

Cola - a brown red creme. Cola because its a little like coca cola? I don't know but it's definitely brown red.

Kristi - a true red creme. Very bright and vibrant, very sexy!

Burke - a soft mauvey red creme. I can't really describe this color. It definitely reminds me of some type of berry but I can't get my tongue on it. But it's still a nice color.

Stacy - a raspberry red creme.

Kelly - dark gray creme with purple tones. My favorite of the wonderful collection!

All of them were under two coats. Their formula, of course, is absolutely flawless. I love Zoya nail polishes because of their formula and for their forever supply of polishes. There's no need to worry about a polish being discontinued. Zoya you rock!

I love both of the collections. Colors are nice and they match my skin tone! I'm waiting for the day where Zoya have a nail polish named Gladys :D

Well that is all I have for today gotta go back to school work :(

Friendly Reminder: About 8 days left to enter my ManGlaze 600th follower giveaway. Have you entered yet? If not, click on the link on my left sidebar to enter! Don't miss out this opportunity to own some awesome ManGlaze polishes!

Zoya Charla And Holiday Announcement

Hi all!

Today I have Zoya Charla for you from the Sparkle Collection for 2010. Most people I know think this is the stunner of the collection. I disagree, Ivanka is way prettier in my opinion, but Charla sure is pretty!

Charla is a blue green glass flecked polish. It flashes a bit of gold and is more green than my pictures show it, but it's really really gorgeous. I am actually wearing this on my toes right now :D

Application is good. The polish is a little on the thin side, so I needed three coats for opacity but my pictures still show a little visible nail line. Drying time is good.

Such a lovely sparkle must be mattified.

I also want to tell you that in exactly 12 hours time, I will be on a plane to Spain. I have prepared posts that will be posted automatically, so you won't have to miss daily posts. These will be a little shorter than you are used to though.. However, because I'm on a holiday, I will not be able to come online and answer any of your comments, questions or emails. I can't respond to any messages about my blogsale either, so please bear with me. I will try to be up and running as soon as possible when I get back, but in the meantime I hope you'll have patience with me :)

For those of you who will go on a holiday soon, I hope you have a great holiday! And thank you all for your understanding :)

Zoya Posh

Hi all!

Today I have one of the Matte Velvets for you from Zoya.

zoya posh red matte matte velvet collection fall 2010 nailswatchesZoya Posh, two coats in daylight. Posh is a rich red matte with a slight berry undertone, making it not your usual red. I say it's matte, but it's actually more of a satin finish. I don't know if the finish is supposed to be like this, because my other Matte Velvet polishes are more matte than this.. Anyway, Posh is a gorgeous shade of red and I can see myself wearing this a lot!

I made Posh glossy as well, to show you a full picture of this polish.

zoya posh red matte shiny topcoat matte velvet collection fall 2010 nailswatchesZoya Posh, two coats with topcoat in daylight. See the sparklies that show up? Really nice effect with the topcoat on it.

Application was good, especially since it's a matte. Some mattes have issues with application because you can't stroke your brush twice over one spot, otherwise you'll get bald spots. This one doesn't have any of it. Posh is really pigmented; I think you can make this a one coater if you apply a thicker coat of polish.

What do you think of Zoya Posh? If you own it, did I get a bad bottle or is yours the same?

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Catch Me In Your Net versus Zoya Charla

As I promised I bring you a comparison of one of the shades from the new OPI summer collection. If you missed my swatches, have a look here. Now my favourite shade from the collection was Catch Me In Your Net, I love colors like this and obviously I also have a shade that is very similar...Zoya Charla. Similar? Well I would call them nearly dupes. As you can see from my picture you can´t tell the difference much. Both of them are three coats. I would say that Zoya is a tad more opaque, on the other side I like the OPI brush more.

Zoya Gilda

Hi all!

Tonight I have another Zoya Sparkle for you: Gilda. Doesn't that remind you of the series that was on, years ago? Sabrina The Teenage Witch? Lol well it does to me. I used to watch it every time it was on and I loved it! Anyway, on to some pics :)

Zoya Gilda sparkle sparkles collection 2010Zoya Gilda, three coats in daylight. Gilda is a bright pink that has the same sparkle finish as Ivanka and Alegra that I showed earlier. Even though I'm not really into pinks anymore, I think this one is pretty. The sparkles really look awesome!

I did a little mattification (lol, is this a word?)

zoya gilda sparkle sparkles collection 2010 matte essie matte about you mayZoya Gilda with one coat of Essie Matte About You. Please excuse the white flakes, my Essie MAY appears to be developing these.. Gilda looks pretty with a matte topcoat! Well that's no surprise since the others were great as well. It look like scales of a fish, or pink dragon hide. Hm. Interesting!

Application was good and Gilda needed three coats for opacity. All three coats dried pretty quick. You can really see the sparkles build up in intensity when you add the second and third layer :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Zoya Nidhi

Hi all!

Is the weather there as good as it is here? It's getting hot and sunny in The Netherlands! Today I have another Zoya Sparkle for you: Zoya Nidhi.

zoya nidhi sparkles sparkle collection 2010 nail polishZoya Nidhi, three coats in daylight. Nidhi is the oddball in the Sparkle Collection; it has a different finish than the other five polishes. It's still super pretty though! Nidhi is a tomato red glass flecked polish with silver, red, lime and yellow particles. This is three coats, but I guess you could go with two coats as well.

Application was as good as the other sparkles. The texture is a bit on the thin side but easy to work with. Drying time was good.

Since I made the other Sparkles matte, here's Nidhi mattified:

zoya nidhi red nail polish sparkle collection 2010 sparkles matte mattified essie matte about youZoya Nidhi, three coats with one coat of Essie Matte About You in daylight. Pretty, but not as pretty as the other sparkles! Please excuse the white chip on my nails, my Matte About You seems to have issues..

And of course I did a little (because I don't want to cover up the prettyness of Nidhi) Konad.

zoya nidhi red nail polish sparkles sparkle collection 2010 china glaze millennium silver konad nailart konadicure imageplate m77Zoya Nidhi, three coats stamped with imageplate M77 and China Glaze Millennium. It's a little stamp, and I have to say that I like it! I have never used this plate before and I've had it for a while..

What do you think of Nidhi?

Also, I've been working behind the scenes on my blog. You might not see it now, but you will see major changes on my blog in the near future. I've worked on it for the past four or five days, yesterday even over 11 hours to make everything perfect. I think it will keep me off the streets since I want everything perfect, but I hope you will enjoy all the effort I put in it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Zoya Ivanka

Hi all!

So today I have the second polish from the Zoya Sparkle Collection for you: Zoya Ivanka. Let the pictures do the talking..

Zoya IvankaZoya IvankaZoya Ivanka, three coats in daylight. For the second picture I adjusted my camera settings a bit to show you how she really looks, since my camera makes her look a bit dull with the regular settings.. Ivanka is a true stunning green with golden sparkles. Whoa. It's no coincidence that this is the color of money with a name like hers..

This one easily makes it to my number one green, bumping China Glaze Emerald Sparkle from it's throne. Damn, this is gorgeous. Of course, I had to mattify her as well..

Zoya Ivanka Essie Matte About YouZoya Ivanka Essie Matte About YouZoya Ivanka with one coat of Essie Matte About You. This glows! It looks like dragon hide.. Hm. Maybe I'm reading too much Harry Potter. But look at her!

Zoya Ivanka Essie Matte About YouIs that gorgeous or what? I can't stop saying how awesome this is.

I did a little Konad on her as well. Of course, I used a gold to stamp with..

Application was good. The polish is a bit watery, but easy to work with and opaque in three coats. Drying time was good as well.

What do you think of Zoya Ivanka?

Zoya Alegra

Hi all!

Did you miss me? Our internet provider decided to cut us off internet, television and phone last wednesday, so I haven't been able to get back online ever since.. I'm at my boyfriend's house at the moment so I'm able to upload and write some posts. Internet will be off till at least monday, but I'll try to upload a couple of posts so you still have enough to read and look at.

However, I don't know if I have time to answer all emails and respond to your comments.. I hope you will understand :)

Recently I got the entire Zoya Sparkles Collection in and I don't have any regret that I bought all six polishes. They're all beautiful and today you will see the first of six: Zoya Alegra.

Zoya AlegraZoya Alegra, three coats in daylight. The weather was really bad when I did this one, so please bear with me. Alegra is a bright fuchsia sparkle; not really glitter, not really shimmer either. I'd say the finish is somewhere in between large shimmer and glass flecked. It's really pretty! As always - when there's an interesting finish to look at - a closeup shot:

Zoya AlegraPretty huh? Zoya really does know how to do sparkles.

This polish was just screaming at me to be mattified, so of course I put a coat of Essie Matte About You over it.

Zoya Alegra Essie Matte About YouZoya Alegra, three coats with one coat of Essie Matte About You in daylight. Woah! Damn. It glows! look at it!

Zoya Alegra Essie Matte About YouPfew.. This is the kind of pink that I can actually see myself wearing every week, either sparkly or matte.

And to finish it off, I did a small konadicure with one of my Bundle monster plates.

Zoya Alegra Bundle Monster plate BM05 China Glaze MillenniumZoya Alegra, three coats stamped with Bundle monster plate BM05 and China Glaze Millennium. I didn't want to put too much over it because it looks so pretty.. (the color is a lot brighter than shown in this picture!)

Application was good. The polish is a bit runny and thin, but it was easy to apply. Drying time was good, even with three coats of polish. I think you could do with two coats for opacity, but I did three out of habit. I love the sparkles..

Stay tuned for more swatches of the Zoya Sparkles Collection!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: I haven't had the time to count the votes in the nailart contest yet because I couldn't get online till now.. I hope I will be able to post the winner somewhere this weekend. I won't forget to announce the winner!

From The Vault: Zoya Yasmeen

Hi all!

Due to lack of time, I haven't been able to swatch ANYTHING the last one and a half weeks.. So I have something a little older for you. Zoya Yasmeen was one of my latest acquirements and I love it so much. Can you see why?

Zoya Yasmeen, I believe this was three coats. This picture is taken under artificial lighting, but in my opinion this shows you the true color of Yasmeen - my pictures taken by daylight show here way too blue. Yasmeen has a gorgeous shimmer to her, that colors both pink and gold. Stunning! I'm really curious to see how she looks matte.. Why do I think of that just now?? I stamped her with imageplate M21 and China Glaze Millennium.

Application was good, the polish went on smoothly. It did clash with Nubar Diamont though - as you can see it gave me major shrinkage *sigh*. I might try another topcoat to prevent that the next time I wear her :)

I won't be posting in the next couple of days since I will be out all weekend. I will be resuming normal posting on tuesday.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Zoya Charla (Sparkle Collection 2010)

When I try new polishes I either like them, don´t or like them a lot but it rarely happens that a polish attacks my Top 10. Well Zoya Charla got right into my Top 3!!! This is the perfect mermaid color I have been searching for a long time. It looks so great on. I am staring at my nails all day :) Do you think if I paint it on my toes I will grow a mermaid tail? More than my crappy description I hope the pictures will give you an idea of how stunning it is. Thank you Zoya for making this polish!
P.S. you still didn´t buy one? Well what are you waiting for?!

It looks like magic in the bottle:

Zoya Happi (Reverie Collection 2010)

I really like the greenish gold flashes this polish has, but VNL after three coats? Too bad...now I don´t know what to do with it. Guess I will keep it :)

Moc se mi líbí zeleno zlaté odlesky, které tenhle lak hází, ale prosvítá i po třech vrstvách :( Teď nevím, jestli si ho nechat nebo ne, ale asi mu ještě dám šanci :)

Zoya Loredana; Swatches & Comparison

Hi all!

So, today I have quite a lengthy post for you. I decided to do a matte mani and while I was at it, I did a 'complete' post; Swatching both matte and shiny plus a comparison. Lots to cover, so on to the pics!

Zoya Loredana, two coats in natural light. Loredana is a medium grey, charcoal colored polish. This one isn't shiny, a true matte! I love how this looks. Because she is so pretty, another picture:

Application on Loredana was super easy. The polish structure was just right; not too thick or too thin. A couple of my mattes/suedes tend to be a bit gloopy, but this one certainly wasn't. I didn't have problems whatsoever and since the polish dried so quickly, it's an A+ polish for me!

There isn't any matte that I wouldn't try to make shiny, so Loredana is no exception:

Zoya Loredana, two coats with one coat of Seche Vite in natural light. Pretty huh? She really shows her shimmer when you make her shiny. It looks so pretty! I can't decide if I like her better matte or shiny.. What do you think?

Judging on the color, I thought she might be close to OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede, so I grabbed my bottle and did a comparison.

Index and ring are Zoya Loredana, middle and pinkie are OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede.

Loredana is two coats, while SSITP is three coats. Opacity is better with Loredana. On the nail they are closer colorwise, but my camera shows a huge difference. These are no dupes, but similar. SSITP is a darker grey with more shimmer than Loredana. Loredana looks a bit flat besides SSITP because she is a true matte.

A shiny comparison:

Again, Zoya Loredana on index and ring, SSITP on middle and pinkie. Both are topped with a coat of Seche Vite. You can clearly see now that SSITP looks deeper because she holds more shimmer.

I really like both of these! It depends on my mood which one I will wear, but I know for a fact that both will be a part of my go-to polishes when I'm in a hurry. If you can't decide which one you like best of these two, I'd say the Zoya is 'better', but only because she is opaque in two coats, while OPI needed three to be opaque.

I hope this was helpful :)

Thanks for stopping by!
