Zoya Charla And Holiday Announcement

Hi all!

Today I have Zoya Charla for you from the Sparkle Collection for 2010. Most people I know think this is the stunner of the collection. I disagree, Ivanka is way prettier in my opinion, but Charla sure is pretty!

Zoya Charla, three coats in daylight. Charla is a blue green glass flecked polish. It flashes a bit of gold and is more green than my pictures show it, but it's really really gorgeous. I am actually wearing this on my toes right now :D

Application is good. The polish is a little on the thin side, so I needed three coats for opacity but my pictures still show a little visible nail line. Drying time is good.

Such a lovely sparkle must be mattified.

I also want to tell you that in exactly 12 hours time, I will be on a plane to Spain. I have prepared posts that will be posted automatically, so you won't have to miss daily posts. OPI Catch Me In Your Net

Hi all,

So today I have OPI's Catch Me In Your Net for you. It's part of the just released Summer Flutter Collection for summer 2010.

OPI Catch Me In Your Net, three coats in daylight. Catch Me In Your Net is a gorgeous blue green glass flecked polish. The polish has a greenish cast over it, instead of looking 'just' a gorgeous blue shade. It's just so.. Stunning!

Application was good, drying time was alright. It dries a little slower than I'm used to with OPI's, but still pretty quick. Catch Me In Your Net is opaque in three coats.

Zoya Nidhi

Hi all!

Is the weather there as good as it is here? It's getting hot and sunny in The Netherlands! Today I have another Zoya Sparkle for you: Zoya Nidhi.

Zoya Nidhi, three coats in daylight. Nidhi is the oddball in the Sparkle Collection; it has a different finish than the other five polishes. It's still super pretty though! Nidhi is a tomato red glass flecked polish with silver, red, lime and yellow particles. This is three coats, but I guess you could go with two coats as well.

Application was as good as the other sparkles. The texture is a bit on the thin side but easy to work with. Drying time was good.

Since I made the other Sparkles matte, here's Nidhi mattified:

Zoya Nidhi, three coats with one coat of Essie Matte About You in daylight. Pretty, but not as pretty as the other sparkles! Please excuse the white chip on my nails, my Matte About You seems to have issues..

And of course I did a little (because I don't want to cover up the prettyness of Nidhi) Konad.

Zoya Nidhi, three coats stamped with imageplate M77 and China Glaze Millennium. It's a little stamp, and I have to say that I like it! I have never used this plate before and I've had it for a while..

What do you think of Nidhi?

Also, I've been working behind the scenes on my blog. You might not see it now, but you will see major changes on my blog in the near future. I've worked on it for the past four or five days, yesterday even over 11 hours to make everything perfect. I think it will keep me off the streets since I want everything perfect, but I hope you will enjoy all the effort I put in it!

China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong

Have you enjoyed your Queensday? The weather wasn't great but we had a nice day, hope you did too! Today I have China Glaze's Blk-Bila-Bong for you. Blk-Bila-Bong is a part of the 2007 Surf Collection. I managed to get hold of a bottle a couple of months ago and it's about time I show it to you.

China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong, three coats in daylight. Blk-Bila-Bong is a blue or aqua glass flecked black polish. It's a part of the China Glaze surf collection of 2007 and it was the only dark color in this collection, but it is a true stunner. I believe this color is discontinued; it was not easy getting my hands on this polish. The blue/aqua glass fleck makes this a very interesting and pretty shade to look at. I love dark colors, but I rarely wear black because it's just a little too dark for me. The glass fleck in this is truly gorgeous and this is gonna be a new favorite of mine!

Application was good. The first coat went on a little watery, but all was well in two coats. Of course, I have to deal with macro, so I did three to avoid showing VNL. Dyring time was good as well! It dried pretty quickly, considering I applied three coats.

Ain't that gorgeous? What do you think of Blk-Bila-Bong? What's your favorite older China Glaze polish?

LA Girl Rockstar Punk

Hi all!

How are you all doing today? I've had a long day due to public transport, but I'm as happy as a 5 year old in a candy store. Why? Because I got my own dot com! You can visit my blog now through www.nailswatches.com. I'm so happy!

Today I have a polish for you that has been in my Helmer since forever. I bought these because I loooooved the swatches I saw, but didn't feel like putting them on. What a shame! So this week I pulled LA Girl Rockstar Punk out of my Helmer.

Note: I broke a nail last weekend, so I filed them all a bit so I wouldn't have a freaky long pinky nail lol. I do have some material with pics in which I still have long nails, so don't be scared, it's just a little time jump!

LA Girl Punk in daylight
LA Girl Punk indoors, three coats. LA Girl Rockstar Punk is a glass flecked slightly duochrome-y blue. The polish is extremely shiny, so you won't need any topcoat for that! The finish is so awesome. Look at it:

So extremely pretty! I don't have any other words for this. And yes, I said it's duochrome! Not too much and only visible in certain angles and lighting, but still there and very pretty. Here are some pics to show you:


Crappy picture, but see? It's purple!! Wheee!!

In the bottle you can clearly see it's both blue and purple. It even flashes a little green in some angles, but this was impossible for me to capture.

As for the application, this was flawless! This is three coats and the polish was just perfect for me in terms of structure. It dried a little slow though, so it could use a quickry topcoat to fix it, but other than that, I'm satisfied!
