Flakie Festival

Hi all,

Today another shortie. I feel like I haven't slept in weeks and I'm finally getting tired after four sleepless nights so hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep and make something more out of my day. Anyway, when I showed you Sephora By OPI Blue Grotto yesterday, I wasn't really that excited. Yes, it's a pretty blue but it didn't do much for me, so I decided to top it off with Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure.

Sephora By OPI Blue Grotto with one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. Flakies! Yaay! This is only one coat of Hidden Treasure so it gives off a great amount of flakies in just one coat. The flakies flash orange, green, yellow and gold. The Sally Hansen brush is short and flat, so it was a bit weird at first to work with, but it all worked out in the end.

I thought it would be appropriate to post this since the flakies flash orange and gold and The Netherlands just played the semi finals and THEY WON!! Yaay!! The Dutchies will go to the final of the world cup! *small happy dance*

Franken - Potter's Purple

Hi all!

So today I have something for you that was a gift from my friend Michelle. She made me a beautiful franken so that's what I'm going to show you today!

Potter's Purple, three coats in indirect sunlight. Do you see Michelle? I made you a label! :D Potter's purple is a medium purple, dusty holographic polish with aqua/blue colored flakies. Can you see she combined the things that I love in polish to make one awesome one? It's not too holo, just how I like it.. She even named it after my favorite book/movie series; Harry Potter. I'm a real Harry Potter nerd as you'll probably have noticed so the name suits perfectly as well :)

Application was good! The polish was easy to work with and drying time was fairly quick.. I can't think of any downside of this polish! Michelle, you made me an awesome polish and I will definitely be wearing this a lot <3 Now, if you'll excuse me.. I'm off to a bit of staring at my polish in the sun ;)

OPI Merry Midnight

Hi all!

I hope you all survived the weekend! :) My nails even survived a game of bowling - which I lost, miserably lol. Anyway, today I have one of my favorite OPI's for you: Merry Midnight. Merry Midnight is a part of the OPI Holiday Wishes Collection of Fall/Winter 2009 and this was one of the shades that made polishaddicts go crazy; it wasn't easy for me to find this one but I'm ever so glad I did!

OPI Merry Midnight, two coats over Color Club Electronica (which I will post about soon) in daylight. Since I couldn't get my hands still, these are pretty crappy pictures.. Anyway, Merry Midnight is a gorgeous warm and deep shade of purple with tiny pieces of glitter and flakies. OPI did flakies *squeeeeee*! Flakies, you said? Yes! Let's take a closer look:


Application was good, I didn't have any problems since the polish went on very smoothly. I wore this for a little over three days and I only took it off because I wanted to change my manicure; I didn't have any chips, just the tiniest bit of tipwear.

Nfu Oh 50 over black

My first post only in english, what a relief. I really apologise to my czech reades, but I am just too lazy to continue writing in both languages. The good news is, that I will try to write more in english, not just only I like it or I don´t and how many coats. I think this will be better for both sides. So today I have for you another layering mani with Nfu Oh 50. Can´t believe I still haven´t tried it over black! The purple base dissapears and you see only flakies that turn from blue to green. So the effect is similar to Nfu Oh 52 over black, but that looks more green as you can have a look here.

Look at how the color changes from blue to green. Stunning!

Nfu Oh 46

Today I bring you the promised Nfu Oh 46. I think that these polishes look best layered on another, but I swatched it alone, so you can see the color. The base is a bright medium red and the flakies go from red to gold. Would look perfect on a red or black base. On the pictures I have three coats and still VNL. Really better for layering, but still an awesome color. Sometimes I just wish I had all of them :)

Dnes pro vás mám slibovaný Nfu Oh 46. Obecně jsou tyhle laky určený na vrstvení (a mně se tak líbí nejvíc), ale vyfotila jsem ho pro vás samotný, aby byl dobře vidět odstín. Základ je výrazná středně červená, šupinky jsou pak červeno zlaté. Úplně ho vidím na červeném nebo černém laku. Na fotkách mám tři vrstvy a ani to nestačilo pro plné krytí. Opravdu je mnohem lepší na vrstvení. Někdy si říkám, že bych je chtěla mít všechny :)

My Nfu Oh polishes - picture spam!

I don´t have many, only six, but I thought I would share with you some bottle  and detail pictures of my babies. I could stare at this for hours :) They will never be boring.

Mám jich jen pár, celkem šest, ale napadlo mě, že bych vám ukázala jejich fotky v lahvičce a pár detailů. Na to by se dalo koukat celé hodiny :) Nikdy nebudou nudit.

ManGlaze Week Day 2: Matte-Astrophe on Nfu Oh

Matte-Astrophe is a clear top coat that turns any polish matte. This one is not the same as other matte top coats out there. It cracles on some polishes :) I find that really cool! So today I want to show you the effect on Nfu Oh. I did a base coat with China Glaze Awaken and then used my Nfu Oh flakie polishes 45, 50, 52 and 51. Just look at the effect!

Matte-Astrophe je průhledný nadlak, který zmatní jakýkoliv lak. Není ale stejný, jako ostatní nadlaky na trhu. Tento na některých lacích vytvoří velmi efektní popraskání :) Dneska vám teda chci ukázat, jak to vypadá na Nfu Oh. Jako základní lak jsem použila China Glaze Awaken a na něj šupinkové laky Nfu Oh 45, 50, 52 a 51. Výsledek je úžasný!

Nfu Oh 45 on China Glaze Peachy Keen

I am not much an orange person. At least not on my nails :) I have this Nfu a long time and I didn´t know what to do with it. Now I tried this. It is just one coat. What do you think? I am not sure, I can´t imagine wearing this. *orange lovers, please don´t hate me*

Oranžovou moc nemusím. Alespoň ne na svých nehtech :) Tohoto Nfuíka už nějakou dobu mám a pořád jsem nevěděla, co s tím. Tak jsem zkusila tohle, je to jen jedna vrstva. Co si o tom myslíte? Já si nejsem jistá, neumím si představit, že bych s tím šla mezi lidi. *milovníci oranžové, nezlobte se*

China Glaze Let´s Groove with Nfu Oh 50
